2016 July Owlcrate!

How is everyone’s summer coming??

It is now under a month away from the beginning of the semester, and I am already getting slammed with school stuff! But thankfully the lovely OwlPost has arrived to brighten my day 🙂

Don’t know what an Owlcrate is?? Owlcrate is a monthly Young Adult (YA) subscription box featuring one hardcover book and 3-5 bookish goodies that all surround a particular theme for the month. *I do purchase this box with my own money. I am NOT sponsored*

So if you haven’t heard, this month’s box is Good vs Evil! I am so hoping for the evil box, so let’s get this unboxing started!

Here we go

*anticipation growing*

As I open the box, I see the creative info card Owlcrate designs for the box. Like always, don’t flip this card over unless you want to be spoiled with all of the bookish awesomness.

Under all of the frilly paper is the first item which is…

A Draco Malfoy Funko Pop! If you read through my last Owlcrate (June) Unboxing on my Bookstagram account or here on my blog, you will have seen the sneak peak for this month’s box was a full-sized Funko Pop! So without really looking at any of the other items, I know that I got the EVIL box! *yay*

The next item is..

A Queen of Hearts magnetic bookmark from Jane’s Tiny Things. I absolutely love the Queen and was so excited to see this added in my box.

So if you love the Star Wars Saga, this next item is for you..

Recognize this?? This is a cute necklace from Vector Engraving featuring the Death Star!

Another fun bookmark was added from the people of Harper Teen. Featuring the book Every Hidden Thing by Kenneth Oppel, the opposite side is free for your imagination to color in. How fun!

Next is from Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff..

Hand-drawn by Drop and Give Me Nerdy, you can show off your love of the series with this fun sticker!

And finally for the grand finale

The Evil book of the month is…

This Savage Song (Monsters and Verity #1) by Victoria Schwab!

There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwab, a young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.“
