My Review of Book 1: Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

My Review:

If you thought Legacy of Kings ended with a bang, Empire of Dust come IN with a REALLY big BANG! Within the first chapter, Eleanor Herman drops a major bomb on us.

I will say that this series isn’t as much of an action-packed series as I had thought. There are a lot of events that happen to keep your attention throughout the plot, but not to the point where it involves a lot of Ooohs and Aaahs or Whaaats?!?.

With all of the points of views of the story, we get to dive into the ideas of who is backstabbing who which involves us to sit on the edges of our seats to see when the truth will finally blow up in their faces.

The idea of magic and its role in the world becomes more established in this book. I like how the world involves the magical elements and the powers that a few of the characters begin to develop further. The magical conspiracies go well with the plot line.

Like I kind of mentioned with the action element of the story, there were multiple parts that felt a little slow. As the plot thickens, it does seem to begin to pick up. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars because of it. We definitely get to see more of their world which I enjoyed reading. There are ALOT of characters that we become familiarized with through the multiple points of view. I still feel like Book 3 may be where the story REALLY will pick up *fingers crossed*. Overall, not too bad of a book. The plot twists were what brought up the rating from a 3 to a 4 out of 5 stars for me. It begins with a bang, and the story ends with a bang!
