Owlcrate : November 2016

It’s time to take a trip through the Rabbit Hole!

It’s finally here! I’ve been going MAD waiting for the OwlPost to arrive ever since I saw the sneak peek at the bottom of the October 2016 Owlcrate box: Alice in Wonderland. I absolutely adore the world of Wonderland, and I know Owlcrate brings a fun, unique touch to the goodies they have hidden inside.

Then, I saw that this month’s box would enclose a highly-anticipated YA novel AND it would be covered in an exclusive book jacket that ONLY these boxes would contain, so that led to five minutes of yays and me pondering what the book could be…

What new release features all of the criteria?? And then it hit me.

So before I get to the fun, some of you may be wondering what an Owlcrate is. So do you love reading YA books and would love it even more to have one dropped on your doorstep every month? Well then this YA subscription box is right up your alley! Each month, this growing company jam-packs a box full of bookish items along with a new release all surrounding a fun theme.

Are you convinced yet? I absolutely love receiving this box in the mail!

So back to our normal programming…

Here is my Wonderland unboxing! Enjoy!

Of course to start the journey, this info card contains all of the secrets to what’s in store below. If you are new to the boxes, this card should remain unflipped until the end of the unboxing in order to refrain from any spoilers.

So setting this aside, the real fun begins.

The first item of the Alice box is the perfect addition to your November reading: tea!

Join the Mad Hatter with this delicious tea from Riddle’s Tea Shoppe and Adagio. Filled with natural peach, vanilla, spice, oranges and so much more scrumptious ingredients, you can brew up a nice mug of warmth while snuggled in a cozy blanket.

And can I just mention this tin! The artwork by Aun-Juli Riddle brings the famous tea party to life with these cute designs. And not only is the outside gorgeous, but the inside features “Curiouser and Curiouser.” Smells amazing!

The next item is the perfect item to add to your Alice Collection!

This edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll reprinted by Rock Paper Books is my favorite thus far! And it includes a matching bookmark 🙂

The designs in this get even better with a magnet featuring, “Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.”

If you haven’t heard of Evie Bookish, you may have been in Wonderland too long. She designs amazing bookish items that I see all over Bookstagram.

Within the last few months, Owlcrate has been adding an extra goodie with their info card-inspired mini buttons.

As you can tell, the next item is from Author Adorements.

This sturdy, vintage bookmark contains parts of the original story and is personally handmade!

And for the final item: the book!

Have you guessed what the YA book could be yet??

Drum roll please…

Heartless by Marissa Meyer!

Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland and a favorite of the unmarried King, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, she wants to open a shop and create delectable pastries. But for her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for a woman who could be a queen.

At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the King’s marriage proposal, she meets handsome and mysterious Jest. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into a secret courtship.

Cath is determined to choose her own destiny. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans.“
