It’s now 5 days until I am home from college!
Which makes this announcement that much more awesome in that not only will I be home with my books BUT I will also be able to fully participate in the Bout of Books 22 Read-a-thon next Monday!
Even though I will be studying pretty hard over the next month, I will also be dedicating time to relaxing with a TON of books!
As most of you know, I am a veteran to Bout of Books with this being my 10th round of reading. Out of all of the read-a-thons that I have stumbled upon, this is my absolute favorite one to participate in. It is a week-long reading marathon where you get to literally read ANY book for as long as you can.
It is the perfect excuse to read all day!
So for those of you who may be new to this read-a-thon, here is the official blurb:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 14th and runs through Sunday, May 20th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 22 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
What are my reading plans?
Later this month, I will be featuring one of my favorite Disney characters in a week filled with re-telling reviews and fun, bookish posts. So to ready myself, I am planning to read the following books:
- A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas *Re-Read*
- A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses #2) by Sarah J. Maas
- A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) by Sarah J. Maas
Can you figure out which character I’m referring to??
One of the convenient parts of this read-a-thon is that you don’t have to commit to a solid TBR. Since I am such a mood reader, it is possible that I could re-arrange the books as I go, but my biggest goal is to read ALOT. I don’t necessarily have a Book or Page Count set for the week. I will be really happy to at least three books, and since the books listed are pretty long, I think it will be easy to reach my goal.
Who can join?
As you may have read above, EVERYONE is free to join in! What I love about this read-a-thon is that there are NO goals, NO stress, and NO pressure. The whole idea of this week is to READ and just enjoy the world of books. That’s it! Just pick up any type of book and read as much as your heart desires.
So, when does this EPIC week begin?
This begins Monday May 14th at 12:00am in your own time zone and runs all the way through Sunday May 20th at 11:59pm.
Beginning Tuesday after the start of the read-a-thon, I will be updating you on all of my progress daily during the entire week.
What books are you going to be setting aside for the read-a-thon?? Whether you are joining in on the fun or not, you can feel free to leave your personal reading status in the comments at any time.
