It’s time to ‘Rise from the Ashes’ with this month’s Owlcrate Unboxing!
If you’re a fan of Sabaa Tahir, Harry Potter, or just fun, bookish items, you’ll want to see what’s in store. There are so many goodies in this box that I’m going to hit straight into the unboxing! So, here is what was hidden inside:
Once you open the box, the first thing you will see is the information card that contains all the spoiler-y details of each item included.
Don’t flip this over until you reach the end of the unboxing, otherwise, you will spoil the ultimate, bookish surprises!
The first bookish item is a pillowcase featuring An Ember in the Ashes quote!
“As long as there is life, there is hope.” – Sabaa Tahir
This will be perfect to re-decorate your library or bedroom into a more cozy look! This was created by the gifted Evie Bookish.
The next item will be perfect to add a little green thumb during those brutal winter storms.
I’ll be using this skull planter made exclusively by Team Owlcrate to grow some small plants in my personal library.
You may have seen this next bookish item in those classic, vintage movies. If you love sending letters, you’ll want to see this!
A wax seal kit designed by Michelle Gray for the Owlcrate Team, I’ll be stamping some epic adventures away with this cute, bookish design.
Do you love making small crafts for yourself?
Check out this craft kit where I can roll secrets or wishes into a fun bracelet to wear around the bookshop! This item was created by Ann Williams.
Don’t forget to add this art print to your walls!
“I know better than to be afraid of stories.”
This next item is one of my all-time favorites to receive in these unboxings!
This fun sticker featuring Dumbledore and Fawkes will be the first to go on my new, future laptop case! I love sticking these on my computers or iPad covers to add a dash of bookish to them! This one was created by Susanne Draws.
Also included in the boxes is a mini booklet full of behind-the-scenes info on the book and one of the designers from the box. You can also find the matching button that you can pin to almost everything to show off your own unboxing!

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan!
“Each year, eight beautiful girls are chosen as Paper Girls to serve the king. It’s the highest honor they could hope for…and the most cruel.
But this year, there’s a ninth girl. And instead of paper, she’s made of fire.
In this lush fantasy, Lei is a member of the Paper caste, the lowest and most oppressed class in Ikhara. She lives in a remote village with her father, where the decade-old trauma of watching her mother snatched by royal guards still haunts her. Now, the guards are back, and this time it’s Lei they’re after–the girl whose golden eyes have piqued the king’s interest.
Over weeks of training in the opulent but stifling palace, Lei and eight other girls learn the skills and charm that befit being a king’s consort. But Lei isn’t content to watch her fate consume her. Instead, she does the unthinkable–she falls in love. Her forbidden romance becomes enmeshed with an explosive plot that threatens the very foundation of Ikhara, and Lei, still the wide-eyed country girl at heart, must decide just how far she’s willing to go for justice and revenge.
Trigger Warning: violence and sexual abuse.”
