Blood Captive by Kim Loraine is an Adult Paranormal Romance featuring vampires!

““A beautiful, dark, enthralling story.” -International Bestselling and award winning author, Amelia Hutchins.
He wanted me for my blood…
Living on the run was all I’d ever known. My life was unstable, but at least I wasn’t alone. That all changed when my mother was murdered.
I ran from the unknown creatures she’d always feared. Until the day I stopped being afraid.
That was my first mistake.
Cashel Blackthorne took me as his captive, but more than that, he opened my eyes to the terrible truth of the world. Vampires exist, and I am the key to their salvation.
The Blackthorne vampires want my blood but their prince wants more.
He wants me. There’s something between us neither of us can deny. He is my captor, but I’ll be his ruin.“
A steamy vampire story? I think yes!
The story opens with a high-stakes, tragic murder of the main character’s mom. After she warns her to run from the monsters, her life becomes far from what she knew.
Fast-forward a year and the threat on her mother’s last breath finally catches up, leading to a kidnapping by a gorgeous vampire.
And from there, I was hooked!
The connection between the two is dark, captivating, and just sinks it’s teeth into you. I loved the author’s writing style and the way she expresses the heart-pounding angst between the couple.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this one for readers who want a dark, alluring vampire romance. There is a cliffhanger at the end, so be prepared for the Book 2 cravings!

“Kim Loraine was raised a Navy brat but spent most of her life growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A proper Washingtonian, she’s addicted to coffee, doesn’t let a little rain ruin her day, and thinks the sun is a gift from God. When not chasing her three little minions around, Kim spends her time writing, reading, and binge watching Doctor Who.”
