The story opens with a high-stakes, tragic murder of the main character’s mom. After she warns her to run from the monsters, her life becomes far from what she knew.

Fast-forward a year and the threat on her mother’s last breath finally catches up, leading to a kidnapping by a gorgeous vampire.

And from there, I was hooked!

The connection between the two is dark, captivating, and just sinks it’s teeth into you. I loved the author’s writing style and the way she expresses the heart-pounding angst between the couple.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend this one for readers who want a dark, alluring vampire romance. There is a cliffhanger at the end, so be prepared for the Book 2 cravings!
