I know it isn’t, but in my case it really should be.
Because, in my case, I didn’t just walk up to the line, I crossed so far over it that I can no longer recall how I got there in the first place.

What line did I soar over? The line leading up to him.

This was a DARK story. There are a few triggers for emotional abuse and sexual assault, so if you are sensitive to these subjects, please know that this book may not be for you.

But, even though the content is pretty dense, I felt the emotional toll that the author writes. We follow the main female character who is caught in a very forbidden romance which quickly spirals out of control when they are discovered by a rather douchy side character.

From there, she is thrown into a whole new light and romance (one a bit less forbidden and hostile).

I gave this one 5 out of 5 stars. While I wasn’t a fan of the abuse, I did find that the writing was very engaging and covered an array of emotions from me. I think that if you are a fan of reading darker plots, this one may be a good pick for you.

But, due to the intensity, it may not be the best choice for some, light-hearted, swoon-worthy romance readers.
