How I Read It: Hardcover from Library
I really enjoyed this book.
We follow a princess as she struggles with being accused as a witch. She’s been keeping her magic at bay since she could remember, but when she isn’t able to control it anymore, she has to flee the kingdom when people begin to go after her.
It was a slow starter for me, but once I really got into it, I flew through the pages.
It does feel like more of your typical YA Fantasy setting, but the added dose of witches and magic really kept me going.
There is a ton of tragedy mixed in, and we are surprised by a few of the developments later on in the book. The ending took me away, and I can’t wait to read the next installment.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
