“I’m one of the most alluring creatures in the world.
Dangerous.
Beautiful.
Powerful.
A siren.
One of seven princesses of Lacuna.
But I wanted more than that, so much more than the trinkets I stowed in my caverns. I wanted
my own piece of the world.
And I got it.
However with that wish came a price, and that price came with secrets.
Two of which should never have been able to set foot on where I reside.
The fate of my heart belongs to Lacuna, but whose heart belongs to me?”
If you love loose re-imaginings of classic fairy tales AND a fan of THE LITTLE MERMAID, you should check this one out!
We follow the main characters who are a siren and a captured hunter. It’s a story of sea princesses, dark romance, and magical realms!
I really enjoyed the author’s take and the world she spun into such a unique, captive way. It was a plot that took me a few chapters to really dive into, but when I did, it didn’t let me down.
I ended up giving the book 3 out of 5 stars. As you may know from the other tales in this collection, it’s not a story for the faint of heart. There are graphic scenes and the romance is heavier. But the writing has that raw, intimate detail to it that brings it all together in an enjoyable way.
