This book really drew me in!

We are introduced into this war-torn world whose society focuses on the divide between the Reds and the Silvers. Pretty much the color of your blood determines if you are in the higher social class (the Silvers) or the poorer lower class (the Reds).

But a rebellion is knocking on their kingdom’s door wanting to rip the barrier down and restore equality throughout the lands.

And one girl may just become the center of their cause, wrecking havoc amongst the royals..

Overall, it was an enjoyable read featuring a ton of political intrigue along with action-packed scenes and continual betrayal. If you enjoy rebellion stories, this book will be right up your alley.

I am pretty on edge about the main character. Her personality isn’t exactly who I relate to the most. The internal struggle she faces is definitely a huge driving factor in the plot, so it will be interesting to see how it further develops in the series.

I gave this book a 4 out of 5 star read. There were a few times I felt myself kind of glossing over a page or two and there was so much betrayal in this plot that it started to feel a little redundant.

It still is a rather complex world, and I can see that there is going to be a lot of moving parts as the series progresses!
