When a second chance meets a dark past, we are thrown into this romance between a convict and the girl who he saved from the same fate.

This is a story of how sacrifice and secrets can create the basis for an interesting romance that cultivates emotions both good and bad. The main hero is just that and I couldn’t help but fall for him from the start.

It was a quick read even though we were thrown into such a complicated scenario. I really enjoyed their connection and burning angst. A solid 3 out of 5 star book!
