In this second chance, enemies to lovers romance, we are thrown into a connection full of dark heartbreaks and tested waters. They both hate each other after one tragic night back in high school and the last thing they thought after all these years was how hot that connection really was..

If you are looking for a story of broken characters with redemption, this one is a well-written story that will give you all the feels. It is an emotional book, so prepare yourself.

I gave this one a 3 out of 5 stars. It was a solid read and their development was well-met. The steam is just right and I was cheering for her character the whole time.

I haven’t picked up the other books in the series, but I think if I get into the mood for a lightly-seasoned, southern-style angst, I’ll be back!
