To this moment, I still have no clue how I stand with this book. While I absolutely loved some parts of the novel, there were others that I cringed to.

First off, the romance in this book is so addicting, intense, and powerful. It’s some of the most captivating I’ve read in a while.

Second, the plot twist in here was something that I was not expecting. It hit me like a train, and I was HERE FOR IT. It made me forget about some of the content and just binge all the way to the end. Which, this book is only 100 pages, so I easily read this within an hour.

Now for the stuff I was iffy on. The characters are not what I normally gravitate to. They are definitely polar opposites showing good vs evil, light vs dark, innocent vs sinful. While they were written quite well, some of the dialogue was a bit much for me.

But since this is more of a novella, I can’t comment too much on the speed of their relationship. I do tend to gravitate more towards slow-burn romances, but with the allotted amount of time these characters had, I couldn’t be too critical on just how quick they jumped into things.

Overall, I gave this one a 3 out of 5 stars. It’s just one of those stories that takes you by storm and you don’t know whether to be thankful for the show or angry at the damage along the way..

I do recommend this one if you are a fan of cult romances, intense romances, or love a well-drawn plot twist!
