If you love dark, almost brutal romances with a pretty distinctive retelling on the side, you will really enjoy this one.

We follow the main characters, a modern-day Cinderella and a Norwegian Prince. Neither wants the life they have, and both are about to change each others lives in more way than one.

Now when I say this book is brutal, I mean there is some content that goes above what you’d consider the typical stepfamily’s cruelty. I don’t want to spoil too much but just prepare yourself for vengeance with a BANG!

I gave this book a 3 out of 5 stars. It was a rather interesting read with a sort of modern-day, fantasy vibe. The main plot twist was not what I was expecting, but in a good way. A solid retelling that I’d recommend to dark romance lovers.
