OK, so if you haven’t read this book yet, I’m going to try and not spoil this one for you BUT do know that there’s a unique ending (or two) to this book that will either be a happy ever after OR you can continue on and experience the biggest, most confusing plot twist that I have ever read..

To this day, and I’m pretty sure until I can get my hands on the sequel, I can’t begin to wrap my head around what possibly happened to that ending.

And I read it THREE times!!

But, for my review up to that point?

This is a very dark, sinister romance of a snarky, care-free, immature, independent girl who I almost couldn’t stand reading. Her personality is definitely the opposite of what I usually like to read, but there was just something about her that I couldn’t stop reading. She was a slo-mo train heading straight off a cliff.

If you love dark characters with even darker chemistries, this series seems to be right up your alley.

I kept going back and forth between a 3 and 4 star rating, and ended up giving it a 4 out of 5 stars because this book left a clear, solid impression in my mind.

While I didn’t enjoy some of the main character’s personality, the way this book held on was a solid foundation for the sequel which I hope to get soon!
