Book Review
Send Me Their Souls by Sara Wolf is the final book in a YA Fantasy series featuring a stolen heart, magical tree, and romantic sacrifice.
Synopsis

“The finale to the epic Bring Me Their Hearts series reaches its thrilling conclusion, full of intrigue, emotion, and of course romance.
Reunited with Lucien, Malachite, and Fione, Zera finally has the choice of whether or not to regain her humanity and give up her life as a Heartless. But with war raging and an army of valkerax on the loose, she’s never needed immortality more. Will they be able to stop Varia without sacrificing themselves in the process?”
My Thoughts
I loved the first two books of this series, so when the finale finally released, I was so excited to see how it all came together.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of how the author took this book. I feel like the fantastical buildup with the magic and now the inclusion of dragon-like creatures made me want more of an epic fight at the end. Instead, we got more character development in this final installment than plot.
But that’s not to say the writing wasn’t gripping and enjoyable to read.
As a whole, this series has a lot of fantasy and romance elements. It isn’t anything steamy but does have that lighter YA feel to it with tons of ups and downs for the main characters. Some of the interactions felt a little stale, but not to where I wasn’t rooting for them.
I gave this one a 3 out of 5 stars, and I think the series as a whole is more of a 4 star. I’d recommend this one to those looking for that classic YA fantasy vibe with hints of romance and politics with a fun world full of magic, witches, and even dragons.
