I can’t believe it’s already time for another Owlcrate! So I came home after work the other day, and this special box was awaiting to be opened!
Unfortunately, something a little extra was hanging out in the bottom.. my ‘Make it out Alive’ box had a family of tiny ants crawling around inside the box. Which kind of surprisingly went perfectly with the theme!
The ants were literally trying to ‘make it out alive’! Haha!
So that’s why I don’t have the actual box to show y’all in this unboxing.
So without further delay, here is my ant-free unboxing!
Like all previous boxes, the first item that you will see when uncovering your box’s treasure is a creative info card with all of the spoiler information printed on the back. This card should be set aside, unflipped, in order to keep the contents of the box a surprise until lay your eyes on it.
The first item in this adventurous unboxing is a patch created by Laserbrain Patch Co featuring the book, The Giver by Lois Lowry!
Are you a fan of Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series?? Well then this bookmark will show your pride of the survival the main character has to undertake! This item was designed by Hey Atlas Creative with two fun quotes from the book!
So for the next bookish item in the box, the item was featured the one that was featured by the lovely people over at Owlcrate as their sneek peek of the month! This round ball of fun is a special bath bomb made by Fizzy Fairy Apothecary! Inside each bomb is a charm that decides your fate into one of the Divergent factions!!
I’m excited to see which one I’ll be placed into! **Stay tuned on my Bookstagram account for a picture of the charm once I use the bath bomb!**
The next item is one that is also becoming popular in the last few months: an exclusive button! This item is created based on the info card that is designed according to each month’s theme. I love displaying them on my tote bags!
In order to make it out alive, you’ll need to make sure you catch enough sleep, and to help, this sleep mask is perfect to help block out those intense heat waves while also blending in with all those zombies running around! This mask was designed by Archie McPhee.
Do you always look at your fridge and wonder how you can make it look more bookishly appeasing?? Well if not, you’re welcome! Now you know to use this awesome magnet from Little Inklings Design! It features An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir quote. I really have to say that this is a big, sturdy one that is very well-made and will surely stick your giant Book-Buying Shopping Lists!
The final bookish item is one that I was surprised about. Not only did we receive the one newly released, hardcover book (see below for the reveal), but we also get a bonus book from Oftomes Publishing! The book is New World Rising by Jennifer Wilson!
and now…

The Sandcastle Empire by Kayla Olson!
“When all hope is gone, how do you survive?
Before the war, Eden’s life was easy—air conditioning, ice cream, long days at the beach. Then the revolution happened, and everything changed.
Now a powerful group called the Wolfpack controls the earth and its resources. Eden has lost everything to them. They killed her family and her friends, destroyed her home, and imprisoned her. But Eden refuses to die by their hands. She knows the coordinates to the only neutral ground left in the world, a place called Sanctuary Island, and she is desperate to escape to its shores.
Eden finally reaches the island and meets others resistant to the Wolves—but the solace is short-lived when one of Eden’s new friends goes missing. Braving the jungle in search of their lost ally, they quickly discover Sanctuary is filled with lethal traps and an enemy they never expected.
This island might be deadlier than the world Eden left behind, but surviving it is the only thing that stands between her and freedom.”

And if you haven’t heard the news, each future Owlcrate will have an exclusive cover designed specifically for these boxes! So even if you already pre-ordered the book, you’ll be getting a copy that you can’t buy in stores!
I gotta say that I really like the green color-scheme inside the box! I didn’t realize it until I was taking all the pictures, but hey, it works!
