An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir has been a highly-anticipated read for months! Next week it is coming into our hands.

This new young adult fiction is about two people who come together to help one another in their quests.  Laia is a girl who is on a mission to save her brother by going undercover as

a slave of the Empire. She goes to the highest military academy of the Roman-like Empire, and begins to spy.  She will risk anything … including her life. While there, she meet a boy named Elias.  He is seen as the greatest soldier of the Empire.  But is that what he wants? When the two characters meet, they soon understand that they need each other in order to succeed.  They will change themselves and the Empire forever, but how?

For those who have heard of this book, you will know about all of the hype and amazing reviews that it has been getting over the last few months.  And the book is not even out yet.  …I have even heard that there may be a movie in the works…  It seems to be a very enchanting read just from the story line that is given.  I did pick up a chapter exert of this book, and I will be posting my thoughts on that very soon, so stay tuned!! If the cover doesn’t draw you in then you know that the exert will.
