July 2017 Owlcrate Unboxing!

Hey everyone!

It’s time for the July unboxing of one of my favorite subscription boxes!

This month’s theme was Wanderlust, and here is what was inside:

The first item as I open the box is the super creative Info card with all of the insider goodies on the back. Now don’t turn this over unless you want to be spoiled with what’s underneath!

The first actual bookish mystery item is one is perfect for an adventure: a bookish bag.

This bag is made by the lovely Owlcrate staff and features a Lord of the Rings quote! “Home is behind, the world ahead, and there are many paths to tread through shadows to the edge of night until the stars are all alight.”

The next item was one of the sneak peeks that was released in last month’s Make It Out Alive box: a Funko Keychain!

My box got the a tiny version of Newt from the Fantastic Beasts movie. Is it bad that I still haven’t even seen the movie?? I know, it’s bad.

Now this next item I was a bit curious about until I opened it up and inside is a pocket mirror from Miss Phi. On the back features a Darker Shade of Magic quote “As Travars.”

What’s an adventure without some luggage?? So this next item will become handy as now you have your very own, super cute luggage tag from Mudpuppy! Coincidentally, I have really been needing to get one of these. Perfect!

As with the previous boxes, this box came with a unique button reflecting the month’s theme!

And what’s an adventure without a way to remember EVERY moment with this pocket journal! I love when Owlcrate adds these notebooks into their boxes! This one was created by Ooly.

And the final bookish item is an art print beautifully designed by Shailey Ann Designs that is perfect to spice up your travel bookshelf! This one is a quote from the novel Looking for Alaska: “I go seek a great perhaps.”

And now, for the book of the month!

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee!

Henry “Monty” Montague was born and bred to be a gentleman, but he was never one to be tamed. The finest boarding schools in England and the constant disapproval of his father haven’t been able to curb any of his roguish passions—not for gambling halls, late nights spent with a bottle of spirits, or waking up in the arms of women or men.

But as Monty embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe, his quest for a life filled with pleasure and vice is in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his father expect him to take over the family’s estate upon his return, but Monty is also nursing an impossible crush on his best friend and traveling companion, Percy.

Still it isn’t in Monty’s nature to give up. Even with his younger sister, Felicity, in tow, he vows to make this yearlong escapade one last hedonistic hurrah and flirt with Percy from Paris to Rome. But when one of Monty’s reckless decisions turns their trip abroad into a harrowing manhunt that spans across Europe, it calls into question everything he knows, including his relationship with the boy he adores.“
